Director of Operations – Mental Health Services

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually

A well-established, family-owned behavioral health organization in South Orange County is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee daily operations across multiple sites. This organization has been serving families for over 5 years and specializes in primary mental health services, working closely with insurance providers to deliver high-quality care.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, solutions-driven, and experienced in managing both people and operations within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residential and clinical sites

• Manage BHT staff scheduling, staffing coverage, and operational workflow

• Support property management needs, vendor coordination, and facility oversight

• Lead and assist with special projects, process improvements, and internal systems development

• Ensure smooth coordination between clinical, admissions, and support teams

• Maintain compliance with operational standards and internal policies

• Assist leadership with reporting, problem-solving, and strategic planning

• Help support a strong team culture and efficient communication across departments

Qualifications:

• Behavioral health experience strongly preferred

• Kipu EMR experience preferred

• Previous leadership or operations management experience required

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment preferred

• Must be able to pass Live Scan background clearance

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working with insurance-based systems and healthcare operations
